The Role
Very challenging, but rewarding experience
Strongly depends on who you work with
Strong support especially by juniors
Often too busy
Again, depends on who you work with. Generally I felt that if you asked for more responsibility you could get it.
Very valuable skills.
The Company
A lot of young people made the atmosphere very jovial.
Very well organised and HR did a great job.
A lot of opportunities for training and development, e.g. workshops, conferences, networking events.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
If you perform well in the internship, you are highly likely to be offered a full-time job.
The Culture
A lot of the fellow interns were very social and we got together regularly outside of work.
Pretty expensive to live close to work and places where bankers socialise tend to be expensive as well.
Again, city of London has a very active Nightlife but it can be expensive!
Not really given the hours, but we did have a sort of field trip which was mandatory.
