The Role
I really enjoyed working at the firm, the environment and talent reward were the best thing about the company
My colleagues didn't treat me like an intern, I was treated as an employee and was given a lot of responsibility since the first day
My manager was amazing, he helped me so much with my work and I could always rely on him on a daily basis even when he was busy
I was very busy with my work as well as events that the company was hosting daily and every week
I was given a lot of responsibility for an intern in my opinion, which made me work harder to prove that I could cope with the work and can be a prospective team member in the future
Unfortunately not so much, since i was doing a lot of web programming which is limited in the modules I am doing this year, however I also learned soft skills and time management which sure will prove useful this year and beyond
The Company
It was very concentrated, you could tell people are very busy getting on with their work however my team would socialise during breaks (and so would other people on the floor) so the overall atmosphere was a good balance between the two
Very organised, at the beginning we didnt even have time to catch our breaths since we had so many events during the day
Firm did a lot to encourage us to learn on our own but also not be afraid and ask lots of questions, so i think again it was a good balance between the two, I think you do need both equally to learn and self develop as a professional
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Working from home
Very appealing, it is fast to grow as an employee if you do well in your job which is a good motivation
The Culture
Yes we did have lots of social events, at times forced up on us by the firm, but overall it was ok
Very expensive, we didnt get our first salary till the end of the month so it was hard for people to go out and socialise since we were all broke, but it made us really exited for the first salary
It was good, the firm is based in the centre of London, so there are good links to all areas in london, so nightlife wasn't a problem
Yes, the firm hosted bbqs and sport activities during the weekend at times
