The Role
It was good seeing a new side of the business however support was lacking.
Most colleagues were helpful and easy to get on with.
Objectives set late into the placement, expectations never fully outlined, initial objective meeting never formally held despite attempts to have one.
Small project objective. Mostly experienced based placement. Some departments allowed more responsibility and the opportunity to do tasks.
The Company
Most people very talkative and fun.
Manager unaware of start and end dates of placement and no effort was made to contact before the placement began.
Attended a conference for the department to highlight good and bad points from the last year.
Appears to be a good company to work for but more experience needed to be sure of what type of role.
The Culture
Everyone was sociable. Lived away from majority of the other students.
Alone on placement and not many people to socialise with from work.
No known nightlife.
Not in this placement.
