The Role
Obviously varied depending on the day but very enjoyable and worthwhile on the whole.
Very welcoming team, willing to explain the big picture so I wasn't left wondering why I was doing certain things.
Very supportive people manager and in charges were usually approachable and friendly.
Some days were very hectic, some were a bit slow, nature of the job!
Felt like I was entrusted with fairly important roles but never felt swamped or unsupported.
The hard actuarial and IT skills will be very useful, the softer skills such as teamwork, client facing skills and documentation, etc will also be beneficial throughout life.
The Company
Good atmosphere for the most part, depends on where you sit and how busy people around you are!
Very professionally done for the most part. Organisations/structures were by and large all in place.
PwC place a lot of value on their people, this was evident even as a summer intern.
Offered a job on completion so very appealing!
The Culture
Could have been more events organised but timetablses didn't work out ideally, that's all.
Much cheaper than other places, such as Edinburgh!
Not really my scene.
Perhaps more for graduates than interns.
