The Role
I had a great experience because I received a lot of support from my team and colleagues. My first week at EY included many social events, where I could get to know other interns, socialise with partners and network with various clients. I had the opportunity to develop my skills and I joined various societies, Women's Network. Furthermore, I met a lot of people from other departments and we organised various social events together. This allowed me understand the EY culture and values.
I received great support and encouragement to take initiative and do a lot of thing at EY. I volunteered for organising a corporate event, I shadowed partners, I made and delivered presentations and attended training sessions on various subjects for my personal development. This allowed me to add value to the company and bring innovative ideas.
I had my personal counsellor and buddy who helped me during the internship. This made my integration easier and I quickly understand how everything is working there. I worked on client site, attending various meetings and I received a whole information pack to get to know the strategies and solutions prepared for clients.
I was working the regular hours, but I took initiative to get involved in many other projects and help other teams with different tasks. Therefore, I had the opportunity to do translations, to write reports, conduct market and industry researches and deliver presentations on a variety of subjects. This improved my skills and helped me enlarge my professional network.
I received a lot of responsibility as I was working for various clients and I had to create my own pieces of work which can include new ideas, new solutions for implementation and new approaches. I had exposure to many departments and I gained a better understanding of this particular industry which made me feel more comfortable at suggesting new ideas.
I have developed many skills and capabilities: time management, communication skills, teamwork, leadership, analytical abilities. This will further help me at university to work with my team on projects, to meet deadlines, to write essays on time and to coordinate societies. Similarly, it will help me deliver presentations more confidently and structure my coursework's in a better way.
The Company
The working environment is very friendly and open-minded. All are very helpful and can provide you with the directions, information needed to succeed and to achieve your targets. The teams encourage you to actively participate and bring positive contribution as the power is in the human minds and the desire to achieve collective goals.
It was very organised. The first induction week, we had many social events, networking opportunities and game nights where we can get to know each other and start confidently the internship. We received various training sessions about the company, IT system, safety, utilities and facilities there. We networked with partners who are very approachable.
A lot of trainings were provided in order to have the whole information about EY and understand the strategy, culture and people. The internship included meetings with partners, executives, other teams, clients and social events with other interns from all the UK. It offers the support of the counsellor who helps you achieve your goals and facilitate your accommodation to a new environment.

Company Parties/Events
There a lot of possibilities as you can switch if you don not like a specific area. However, you can work hard and be promoted easily if you have the talent and desire to get advanced. You also can study towards your qualifications, ACA and CIMA and there are a lot of scheme for personal development.
The Culture
Yes, we had the chance to socialise and organise events together. At EY there are a lot of facilities where you can enjoy your time with your colleagues, at mini golf, bar, cafe, focus groups. Similarly, it offers the freedom to organise and create societies, new projects and encourages you to be proactive every time.
The cost is moderate, but it gives you the chance to interact with different people and build your network within ad outside the company. Thus, you can ask for an advice or work together on a project that can create a new method or approach that will add value to your team and the whole company. There are trainings and events that are organised and sponsored by the company, so people enjoy the time by learning something new.
The nigh life in Canary Wharf and around central London is very good. You have access to a variety of pubs, restaurants, games, cafes and cinemas where you can go with your colleagues after work. You can have business lunches as well in this area and it makes more comfortable and easy to talk to clients in an informal way.
Yes, there were a lot of trainings, events where you can get to know your client, colleagues, interns, regional employees and partners. It is a very good network within the company and everyone if happy to help and provide assistance where required. I had a great time at EY and enjoyed the work with my team.
