During the first week of my internship, I also received extensive guidance and mentoring. This was important as audit was something new to me. The mentoring I received really helped me to get on with the work given to me.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given work which had a direct bearing on the collective work done by my team. I was also frequently tasked to directly obtain data and clarification from clients. All my work was significant and I was allowed to tackle my assignments with a lot of autonomy. Whenever I spotted discrepancies in client data, I was tasked with resolving or finding explanations for these discrepancies.
