The Role
It has been a great experience all around: big and dynamic company who is the leader in the industry; great exposure to international business; interesting department to work for; many new projects and exciting changes. Big reliance on self motivation and ability to schedule your own work; travel and training opportunities
Very friendly team and culture in the company in general. My collegues recgnised the value in the work I was doing which has been very envcouraging.
Excellent manager. I had regular meetings with open discussions and could always get a helpful advice career wise.
Different every week but ususally busier at the end of quarter. Weeks were different as well depending on the project. Having finished my core responsibilities I was able to volunteer / job shadow in other departments and chose projetcs I wanted to work on
Was trusted to produce reports that drove multi thousand dollar payments; was fully responsible for the projetcs and ideas that I came up with
I was given an opportunity to complete any courses I felt I needed to excel in my job (Microsoft Excel/Powerpoin advanced training; MIcrosoft MOSS, presentation skils, etc.)
The Company
Professional but fun
Well organised but also reliant on your own initiative
Considering it is an internship - was pretty good
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Would love to come back in a graduate role
The Culture
Nice social scene
Living costs are cheap but not much of a social scene in the area. London and Bristol are very close though
Depends on personal taste. In Swindon you can still have a great night if you are with the right people. But places with better night life (London, Reading, Bristol) are in easy reach
A lot of sport clubs / activities so great opportunity to meet other people from the company
