The Role
I found the year challenging and varied. The people I worked with were very supportive and I would definitely recommend doing an Industrial Placement year at EDF.
Both my boss and the team I worked with were very supportive and gave both assistance and possitive reinforcement.
My manager was supportive and open, however the were was no real structured feedback on my progress.
At times during the placement I found my workload was too high, however most of the time it was a good balance. I was never bored!
I was involved in integral department tasks and given a lot of responsibility
The Company
The staff I worked with invested their time to progress my skills, however there was little formal training or plan of progression.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Got a job with a contractor on site- staff roles in my area of work are less readily available
The Culture
Some oppertunities were available, however I don't believe they were aprticularly well publicised.
