The Role
I really enjoyed the placement and felt I learned a lot of new skills, met a lot of interesting people and gained valuable experience
Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Everyone was willing to help when I needed it and got along well with them.
My Supervisor was very helpful, he let me get on with my work but was always very helpful when I had any problems.
I had a job to do which fitted quite well with the time I had, therefore I was never too bored or too rushed to get things finished
My responsibility was to produce a good benchmark, this involved analyzing the results and choosing how to improve the benchmark according this left me with decisions to make while help was available if needed
I feel I have learned a lot of technical skills on my placement which I hope to use during the rest of my degree and career.
The Company
The working environment was very good with everyone being very friendly and supportive.
The Placement was well organized and I always had interesting work to get on with
The company offered concise induction followed by an interesting in short course on the Companies products. This was good as it gave all the necessary information and allowed to get into the work quickly. I also attended many lunch and learns which were available to all employees allowing me to learn more about the company throughout my placement.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I am interested in a Job at ARM and will definitely look into it when I finish my Degree
The Culture
The social scene was great with lots of interns getting along and organizing many activities throughout the summer
The cost of living was quite reasonable and socializing was also not too expensive.
I couldn't really comment on night life much, however I enjoyed meals at many pubs in the area.
The Company ran a lot of sports clubs etc. which anyone was welcome to.
