The Role
I was given an opportunity to take ownership of projects as well as being involved in more general activities which increased my awareness of the position as a whole.
They always took the time to give me extensive feedback and were really approachable.
We had different levels of support- from buddies on the graduate programme, to our line managers and programme supervisors- which meant there was always someone you could ask for help.
A slightly slow start but once my projects got going I had plenty to do. But deadlines were always realistic and I was able to leave work in the office and not have to work in the evenings or at weekends.
I was given projects which I had complete ownership of and which will have a tangible outcome. I will be able to go onto the website or into a branch and see something that I am personally responsible for!
Definitely relevant to a future career in marketing and/or financial services. Some skills e.g. presentation, business cases will also be useful in my degree studies.
The Company
Obviously everyone was busy but people were always happy to chat. Lots of cakes...
Very well structured- calendar of events given out at the start.
They established what I wanted at the start and gave lots of help to ensure that these aims were achieved.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Not made very clear but I have my fingers crossed!
The Culture
Lots of drinks after work and interns form other areas came down every couple of weeks.
It's central London so pretty expensive...
It's central London...
We had a mid-intern event and community event organised.
