The Role
I really enjoyed working at Freshfields. I've subsequently applied for a training contract, based on how enjoyable I found the internship
I felt the work I did was helpful to those I was shadowing and not merely provided to keep me busy.
I was given guidance on what they wanted me to do but it was not completely spelt out as they expected a certain level of ability to figure things out for yourself.
It was a mixture. There were days when I was very busy ad days when I wished I had more to do.
As a vacation visitor you were obviously not given loads of responsibility but you were expected to undertake anything they did give you to do on your own.
I think that on the placement it was the skills developed during my degree studies that helped me here rather than the other way around. Although I do believe it has motivated me to work even harder at my degree to do better in general.
The Company
It was hard work but motivating.
Everything was very well organised and ran very smoothly.
The company had obviously done everything they could to ensure that we got the most that we could out of the experience.
Subsidised Canteen
International Travel
I have applied for a training contract with them but do not yet know the outcome.
The Culture
Social activities were organised by current trainees for all the vacation visitors, which were very enjoyable.
It's London so it's fairly expensive in some areas.
There were special activities put on for us so I don't know what it would be like to work their as an employee.
Not really.
