The Role
Overall the internship at EY (FS Performance Improvement in London) was an incredible experience that exceeded my expectations.
My project team was not very close (we did not go for drinks once, although other interns did quite frequently). However, other colleagues (my buddy, my counsellour, etc...) were very friendly and always looked after me.
Other interns had amazing supervisors, however I was assigned a supervisor whose people skills were not his strength, therefore it was sometimes a challenge to get guidance, but plus points for him trying.
Was not as crazy as I had expected, I would usually come in around 8.15 or 8.30am and leave at 6 or 7pm. If I had a dinner or networking drinks I was always able to leave early.
I felt like I was very valued by my team and the task I was given was very interesting and a relatively high responsibility for such a short work period.
I learnt so much useful things such as business writing, being professional, presenting, networking, not being nervous with senior stakeholders etc, that have massively impacted my final year performance in a positive way, that I would have never thought it would!
The Company
At the team it was alright, but the atmosphere at the EY office is always so great, everyone is so nice and no one would ever look down on you for being "just" an intern
So incredibly well!!! My friends who did internships with Accenture, PwC, Deloitte, etc did not have such a well organised internship. The networking opportunities and activites for interns significantly exceeded my expactions.
That was definitely the strongest winning factor about the EY internship. I was always able to take off time during the week for a few hours to do online trainings that were interesting for me. The induction week training was great and exposed me to a wide range of interns.

Working from home
I can't wait to join EY in Sept 2016 as a graduate. The grads I met during my internship all seemed like they had a blast during their graduate training.
The Culture
Yes, I still meet 4-5 of my internship friends every week.
