The Role
My pharmacist tutor was on holiday for the majority of my placement I feel that in future the start of the placement should have been put forward to when the pharmacist tutor was back at work.
At the beginning of my placement when my pharmacist tutor was on holiday there was not much for me to do. I also feel that the workbook provided was too short and not challenging.
I learned how to use the Lloydspharmacy computer systems which will be useful when I work for Lloydspharmacy in the future
The Company
Everyone was mainly happy however as staff were going on holidays it was more busy than usual.
I had was not contacted to be told when my pre-registration interview would be and when I rang up the area manager to find out I was told where and when it was. When I arrived for the interview I had to wait an hour before the cluster manager had time to see me. As I have mentioned before about the pharmacist manager being away for the majority of my placement.
I did not feel the workbook was well designed. Also compared to other companies training schemes which involve e-learning etc I do no feel Lloydspharmacy did as much to help my learning. However the training and development day was very useful and I enjoyed it immensely.
I still have not received any information regarding the outcomes of my pre-registration interview
The Culture
We only had one training and development day together - I feel there should have been more
