The Role
Very enjoyable 6 weeks, learning new things everyday
Collegues made me feel very welcome and were all willing to take the time to answer questions or show me different aspects.
Was given feedback on areas I was doing well in and was given more time to gain practice in the areas or tasks I needed.
Very busy some of the time but gave plenty opportunity gain experience in many areas of the job
I was allocated tasks that were my responsibility to carry out every week. It was good to have some responsibility but not too many that it put alot of pressure on me.
Recieved on the job experience and training above and beyond what is taught within the course, and will be valuable for my future career.
The Company
It was a really enjoyable atmosphere
I was supplied with a folder of tasks, areas to develop. It also allowed me to have a say in what I wanted to learn or improve in. I could tailor my learning around the structure given.
The company provided a training day for all the summer students in Scotland during the first week of placement. They then had constructed a learning programme but that had enough space for you to alter it to what I felt I needed to learn
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Depending on this placement the opportunity for a Pre-registration Pharmacist place.
The Culture
I was the only summer placement student in the shop.
Rent in Aberdeen is quite high and so is transport.
Limited places but depends on what you prefer
The placement was only six weeks but the hours were 8.45 to 6 so there was still opportunity for activites outside of work and I didn't have to work weekends
