The Role
This was a summer internship in London for the Quantitative Management program. The internship has been a very positive experience.
My team was extremely friendly as well as eager to provide me with support and challenging projects/tasks.
I was given support throughout the internship to understand what my team functions were, to learn how to use IT capabilities and to complete my projects.
My team kept me busy throughout the internship with multiple projects, tasks and miscellaneous requests.
I was given a fair degree of responsability, given that this was a ten week summer internship. Some of my projects were high-profile reports aimed at managers from multiple divisions, which helped a lot to make the internship even more interesting and challenging.
I have gained significant expertise in multiple topics: derivatives modeling and pricing, VBA coding, Microsoft Excel, SQL coding, Bloomberg. These skills will definitely be very useful in the future.
The Company
The atmosphere was good.
The internship was very well organised. Aside from the daily work with your team, the HR department organised multiple socializing events between interns or with business representatives.
I really felt the company and my team invested in me and wanted me to succeed.

Prospects seem positive.
The Culture
-
The office is located in the City of London so the cost of living and socializing is relatively expensive.
There are some bars, pubs and clubs in the area, but it is not really a nightlife neighborhood.
The internship included socializing events in the evenings with interns and business representatives. Moreover, interns were always eager to organise further activities such as football matches.
