The Role
It has been the most fantastic placement experience I have ever had. Apart from having an insight on how pharmacy works in real life, this opportunity gave me a chance to put my knowledge into practice. I got myself involved in every work stage and learned new things every single day.
I was being treated equally just like everyone else at work despite the fact that I am on a temporary basis. Colleagues are friendly, warm hearted and welcoming. We get along with each other very well and work together as a team. We made fun with each other sometimes and had good laugh throughout the day.
He has been an awesome tutor who gave me valuable guidance and advices on work related issues. He himself as well has worked as a good practicing pharmacist and I take him as a role model that could have a big influence on my practice in the future.
It is a place with massive workload and I found it could be challenging especially when various issues going around at the same time, but needed to be dealt with as quick as possible to take care of customers need.
I was well trusted to not only shadow the pharmacist, but also in charge in particular issues, e.g. dispensing, sign posting, contacting the prescriber, stock counting and ordering, medicine wastes, drug addiction etc.
They will be very valuable for both my degree and future career in a lifetime. I have kept all learning points that I gained from the placement on file for future reference.
The Company
It was fully loaded with laughters and giggles!
Most things worked accordingly with the guidance provided and it was tailored to student's need.
I made the most out of my placement and the development was far beyond my expectation.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I am very much like to work within the organisation in the future.
The Culture
There is no any bars or social clubs nearby. This is not a big deal however as most people drive to social scene.
I spent on nothing other than traveling to work as it is not far away from my home.
Nightlife was not seen in the area as there were no bars or pubs around.
Yes, we went for meal after work and had good chat.
