The Role
Despite the pressure and the focus on results, I really enjoyed my internship. Attention to interns, in terms of educational experience and placement is unparalleled
Both interns and full time employees helped me during the entire process
Management and supervisors are not only interested in finding valid candidates, but also to place them in the role that best fits their skills, interests and aspirations.
Days are intense and long. However, thanks to hour cap and no work during weekend policy, work life balance is definitely better than that interns must put up with at other firms in the same industry.
If deserved, people are more than willing to give you responsibility and make you grow.
What I learnt had been both very interesting and extremely useful.
The Company
The informal and friendly atmosphere of the Bank of America-Merrill Lynch trading floor is surely one of its strongest points.
The entire programme is carefully planned and studied. Being well organized meant to me that we also had the chance and the possibility to organize a reasonable part of our time.
Both in terms of direct training (external teachers, information sessions, career fair) and in the time each employee personally chooses to devote to you I have been extremely satisfied.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I received a full-time offer from the firm to start next year.
The Culture
Interns immediately bound together.
London is extremely expensive. Yet, the salary paid to interns is enough to conduct a good life.
Nightlife is probably elsewhere in London. However, you can easily afford to get there.
The bank promoted a number of activities outside work.
