The Role
Well organised placement with a folder with things to do to help guide you through the placement and make the most out of your time there.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, I felt valued as a team member as for example, some counter staff would ask me questions about the dispensary.
The placement had busy phases but it also had quiet periods in which I could fill out my folder and take time to learn things.
I had a fair amount of responsibility which made me feel valued as an employee rather than being treated like a child who didn't know anything. I had previous experience in a pharmacy which i displayed and I think this increased the responsibilities my boss was willing to give to me.
Some helpful information in the folder given, and good general guidance on what I should have learnt on the placement, although I feel I didn't learn a lot more than I already knew before I started.
The Company
Staff were friendly and they all had a good working atmosphere.
Very well organised. Only problem was getting my name badge!
I was given a lot of infomation about Lloydspharmacy and how they work, which was interesting and informative should I want to work there in future.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I enjoyed my placement with Lloyds but I feel more at home within an independent pharmacy where I had previously worked.
The Culture
No other students working there.
Lived at home.
Lived at home, and it is reasonable!
At home, so not really applicable.
