The Role
I enjoyed the time with Lidl very much and I would go back to the company any time.
Very nice colleagues and supervisors.
My supervisors always were very friendly and here to help if I had any problems or questions.
Every day is different and every day is very busy. I never got bored during the whole time of the placement.
At first I worked as a sales assistant, than as a duty manager and then I was able to run the store myself which I am really proud of.
I can use a lot of the things I learned in Uni. Lot of project and people leading experience and Supply Chain knowledge.
The Company
The atmosphere in the store-team was really good, also the one in the various departments I worked in after I finished my store modules.
The structure of the programme is very good, lot of appraisals and tips for my career. There is at training plan for every module.
The company invested a lot in me, I got trained very well.

Placement students work as ambassadors after the placement year. Afterwards they can enter the company again via the graduate management development programme or a direct job into one department.
The Culture
The placement students know each other and we do have a facebook group. Also, colleagues in Head Office play soccer after work.
I lived in my parentsĀ“ house so I didnĀ“t have any costs which was good.
I stayed home, but there are plenty of clubs, pubs and bars to go out in my area.
Christmas parties and sporting events are perfect opportunities.
