The Role
The work on bids was interesting and varied. The bids typically lasted one or two weeks so there was no time to get bored!
I felt part of the team and was treated as a colleague rather than an intern.
I was given lots of guidance at the beginnning, which was gradually reduced as I became more proficient.
There was always work to do, but I never felt like I was rushed off my feet.
Due to the nature of the work I could not be completely responsible for the content of the bid documents, but sections that I wrote were put into the final documents with little alteration.
The internship gave me a great overview of general business and experience of working in a team in a business environment,
The Company
Everyone was friendly and got on really well.
I would have liked to have known which department I was going into before I walked in the door on the first day!
There were lots of training courses and e-learning tools available.
If I am offered a job I would gladly accept it.
The Culture
There were regular meet-ups and the interns organised an evening event for the end of the internship.
It's London so it's expensive.
As above, lots going on.
There were sports teams, but most activities were centred around training for work.
