The Role
I really enjoyed the exposure to the competitive business environment and working for this SME, coupled with the levels of responsibility given gave vital experience of the world of work.
Most members of the Borro team made a real concerted effort to praise performance when due or at least were extremely active in giving feedback on most tasks.
Because Borro is a relatively small team you were often working side by side with those giving the tasks, therefore guidance and help was often easily at hand.
I was kept extremely busy throughout the internship, albeit after a slow start which is to surely be expected when starting out at any company
Because I worked in such a small team, I was given huge responsibility from the outset really.
Borro gave me real exposure to what it is like to aim for targets and how to achieve them as a team and since I have aspirations to work in management, this experience must be seen as vital.
The Company
Fantastic social environment at Borro that makes you feel welcome from day 1!
The only downfall of the placement sadly but this could not be forseen in all fairness to the organisers of the scheme. We were meant to rotate in the company but sadly circumstances couldn't allow this.
I was, especially towards the middle and end of the internship attending several events and seminars at companies such as Google to explore Borro's social strategy. I think this level of exposure answers the question in its own right
Sports and Social Club

Company Parties/Events
I would without a doubt consider going back to work for Borro in the future.
The Culture
The social scene was second to none and was a major factor in how much I enjoyed the placement. I often had drinks and attended social events after work with colleagues and this really helped bed into the company. Cannot fault Borro at all for the social scene they offered!
Living in London was never going to be cheap!
Personally, I really enjoyed the nightlife around where I worked. This was probably due to how much I got on with my fellow colleagues.
I went to Silverstone, London Zoo Lates, rugby union grand final, 2020 cricket plus many more so again cannot fault Borro and my colleagues for making this possible.
