The Role
Very enjoyable - no other students but a very close knit research and development team. All very sociable, warm and friendly, making sure I was comfortable and enjoying my time there.
I was given a lot of recognition and rewards for when something was successful which greatly spurred me on to do better and made me glad to come into work every day!
Brilliant support and guidance, they were always there when I needed help and advice with anything.
Quite busy - depended on day to day, availability of equipment and the nature of the research project. But mostly busy most days, though there was plenty of time made for tea breaks.
Initially a lot of responsibility in terms of QC, but the company changed as time went on and I began to focus more on my individual research project.
Laboratory skills, and working in a close knit team has greatly improved my skills in the lab for my final year. I have also developed a great deal of knowledge in the specific area I was researching which has helped with my research project this year.
