The Role
I was made to feel extremely welcome and learnt more than I could ever have asked for.
100%, by the end of the placement I found colleagues were recommending me to other member of staff.
If I was unsure of anything, I was guided / managed by my colleagues every step of the way; if I didn't need help I was left to my own devices.
The placement was very well balanced.
I wouldn't say I was "running the show" but I was pleased with the responsibility that I was awarded.
I developed lots of life skills that I otherwise would have had to pay a lot of money to develop.
The Company
I loved the atmosphere, there was plenty of "banter" amongst the staff while still maintaining a can-do attitude. Everyone at Arup love what they do and they are very good at it.
The placement was well organised, I was assigned a supervisor on day one that I could go to if I had any queries.
Not very much, although I was allowed spare time to teach myself software.

I have already accepted an offer of employment and will be starting in March 2016.
The Culture
The scene was fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
The cost was fairly non-existent, I joined various sporting groups and didn't pay for a thing.
The nightlife wasn't crazy although with did for drinks a couple of times.
I worked outdoors surveying for protected species on most days.
