The Role
This was by far the best placement ive had during my studies.
the staff in my branch were understanding and welcoming!
My tutor didnt focus on my folder too mush, infact they tested me in practical and different ways to ensure i fully understood the subject.
even though it was close to a medical centre there were quite periods at lunch time.
i wasn't given too much responsibility meaning there was time for individual study
i learnt a lot of management and clinical skills that will no doubt effect the way i practice in future
The Company
it varied but in general i was never exposed to any awkward situations
there was no real organisation as a folder is given and you are expected to work through this, in some way it mirrors the situation you will be in when working but i did think further activities could have been planned.
i was lucky to have a keen tutor who encouraged development, in truth the success of the placement depends on the tutors personality
very likely since they like to promote individuals within the company
The Culture
i was the only student at my branch
i was placed close to home
there's no time for night life
not really
