The Role
Everyone was really friendly and helpful, the work was interesting and events organised for the interns were very good.
Most people were very friendly, but you still had some who were harder to approach. But they tended to be more senior people
Support and guidance was amazing! My line manager was very helpful with all my tasks and so was my buddy. If you asked for help, you got help.
Some days it felt like you were too busy and some days you had little to do, but on these days no one expects more than you can manage. If you were busy people understood, and if you had little to do then you found work from other people.
A reasonable amount of responsibility. My work did get checked but that was the nature of the project too.
MS Excel skills have been taken away from the internship and used. Networking skills and general business etiquette skills have been very useful
The Company
Quite lively, and a lot of people doing very different things which was entertaining.
HR did an amazing job sorting everything out. They kept us well informed about anything we needed to know and about any events tha were coming up. You could ask them any question and they responded very quickly
There were mandatory finance and IT skills training that we needed to complete before the end of the internship but it was better to do it earlier so you could make use of the knowledge. There 3 days at the start of the internship as well that were training days.

They look to hire primarily from the internship program provided you are good. If you perform well, and show you're curious about finance you're likely to get an offer.
The Culture
Fellow interns always wanted to go out and do things with you. You never got bored in the evenings.
It was central London, everything is a bit dearer than outside the City.
London nightlife is amazing. Every night there was something to do.
There were opportunites to doa community volunteer day, and there were plenty of things to do in London.
