The Role
There were times when unfortunately there wasn't much for me to, resulting in the a boring day here and there.
Those who I was working with / doing work for I got on with, but this was only a few people. I did not have much interaction with other people.
I felt I could ask a question at any time.
As in my first comment, some days I was not busy. In general, however, I had tasks to be getting on with.
I was working independently for most of the time, but I didn't feel as though the work I was doing was pushing me up to and beyond what I knew from my University studies at that point in time. I felt I could have been of even more use than I was.
I didn't learn much that I hadn't already come across at University in terms of technical activities. I learned more about the ins and outs of working in a consultancy office, which is obviously valuable experience as well.
The Company
Friendly and laid back, but everyone was hard working when they needed to be.
As I mentioned earlier, I could have been put to more good use than I felt I was. This probably was just down to what work was needed to be done in the time I was there however.
In my opinion most people are just too busy during their working day to invest too much time in my training and development, through no fault of there own of course.

Arup is one of the best consultancies to work for after graduation, so I would definitely like to be back.
The Culture
We would chat to each other and get lunch together, all during work hours. There was a couple of visits to the pub with other colleagues.
Bristol isn't cheap nor is it expensive. I live there for university anyway so for me it's fine.
Bristol has a good nightlife, although I didn't do much of that while on my placement.
There was a lot of sporting opportunities, I don't remember much other than sport.
