The Role
I was actually given work that a trainee would be doing. They were all very welcoming and invited me to department socials. Anyone would stop from a chat!
My supervisor and 'buddy' (a current trainee) offered me support where I wanted or needed it. They were always very happy to answer questions.
I always had a good amount of work to do, so I was never sitting around, but never too busy that I was stressed!
I helped and assisted on cases, and wrote actual letters, but wasn't 'running the show' by any means.
It certainly taught me about the practical side of the legal work, and how my studies translated into the practical side on a day to day basis.
The Company
It could be stressful at times and people were generally very busy, but still friendly.
It was well organized with work and social things.
We were given an induction and people tried to explain the work as much as possible, as you may be offered a training contract as a result.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
The majority of training contracts come from the vac scheme.
The Culture
We all met up at lunch time and there were many socials going on so the social scene was really good.
London is expensive!
