  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed my internship with EY. The structure of the internship program is faultless.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • From the start of the internship I was fully embraced In the tax team in Edinburgh. I was included in social events and team meetings and felt that the team were grateful for the work I helped them with.

  • The support and guidance given by my team was absolutely fantastic. They were also very approachable if I needed to ask questions.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Apart from the odd day I was kept busy. I also had a project to do for my team so on days when I wasn't busy I could work on that which was great.

  • As much as expected for the junior role I was doing.

  • The skills I learned helped me to contextualise accounting theory that I learned at uni.

  • An incredibly friendly atmosphere. Very team-orientated. Everyone in the office was chatty and friendly

  • Yes absolutely perfect which added to the overall enjoyment of the internship.

  • I live in Edinburgh for uni so was already used to the cost of living and socialising.

  • Yes, I was part of the EY running club in Edinburgh during my internship.
