The Role
Very good insight into the industry, met lots of people, both other interns and people within the company, was given real work to do which is used by the company, everyone was very welcoming and helpful throughout.
The work I was doing was actually used by the company so this made me feel valued. Interns are always included in any social aspects within the teams they work.
My manager and other people within my team always went out of their way to help me with any task.
Nearly always had something to be working on but not so much that it became stressful and too much.
I had real work to do by myself which was good but had it checked over which I liked because I didn't want to mess anything up
If this is the career path I decide to take then the skills will be very useful
The Company
Everyone got along well but most of the time everyone is pretty busy. Occassionally have a few jokes around the office.
The internship scheme did not seem as well established in terms of training and extra curricular activities as others from what I have heard but we had weekly lunch and learns, a mid placement social etc. which were well organised.
Weekly lunch and learns to expand your knowledge of the company.
Company Parties/Events
Chances of a job offer are looking good.
The Culture
The interns all got along but did not have that much of a chance to get to know each other early on so it stayed as an almost formal working relationship.
London is very expensive. Living in a student halls still costing me £200 a week.
Nice bars but have had a chance to go to any clubs!
I believe there are things going on but they are not widely promoted to interns.
