The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my summer internship with Aon.
All my colleagues were incredibly welcoming and definitely valued me.
I was very lucky to have amazing guidance from my supervisor. He made the experience an altogether better experience.
This varied on a day to day basis, due to the time of year. However, i was able to get involved in some high value work.
I was given a lot of responsibility through leading a charity project.
The skills i learnt were definitely transferable to my degree but really set me up for working life outside of university
The Company
The atmosphere was great to be apart of, it struck the perfect balance.
Due to the time of year it was difficult to allocate the interns with too much work, however, the work that was provided was well organised.
Employees set aside time to teach me with various components of the business and what i would need to learn if i were to pursue a career in Insurance.
Subsidised Canteen
I would definitely like to work here on a full time basis.
The Culture
Everybody was encouraged to meet with fellow colleagues, interns or permanent employees, after work.
Due to the internship being in the city, the costings were high.
As good as you can afford.
There were lots of departmental sports teams, charity fund raisers and general get togethers
