The Role
The placement was enjoyable but it was difficult to really add value due to the steep learning curve
I was genuinely given responsibility and my colleagues were all very friendly
I was not very busy at the start of the placement but this improved once I demonstrated that I could be given responsibility.
I was given quite a bit of responsibility.
I had mostly developed the skills I needed from my degree anyway although the internship provided a useful opportunity to practice these
The Company
Technology is much quieter than other offices.
Pretty well organised.
We had a lot of lunchtime and post-work lectures as well as three days of full-time training at the start of the internship.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I would be happy to work for this organisation in the future.
The Culture
Good although as people got more busy and the hours increased it became much harder to meet after work.
Fairly expensive but this was anticipated.
Good pubs/bars but better for brief after-work drinks than full on nights out.
Some opportunities but generally external activities were driven by the intern class.
