The Role
I found the placement enjoyable throughout, a lot of independence was given to us with regards to speaking to clients and completing work. The other interns were all lovely and we all got on well. One criticism might be the lack of work (only at times)
Everyone in the office were happy to help whenever they could - you could happily approach anyone despite everyone working on different jobs
The internship followed the same support/guidance as the graduate job - which is established and works very well.
It would vary massively from week to week, sometimes it would be necessary to work a bit later than other weeks and sometimes you could leave early if you had finished your work.
Much more than expected, I was left alone with clients and required to hand in work to my manager to be reviewed before being submitted.
The ability to work and talk with clients was a first experience for me and will very much help in my professional career
The Company
Very friendly and happy - perhaps because it was the few weeks in the summer when it was sunny!
The internship seemed very well developed, unfortunately in my service line there was possibly not enough work for all of us - but that was just an unfortunate circumstance rather than anything to do with the structure of the internship.
The main investment on behalf of the firm was there willingness to put us out there in terms of on client jobs and letting us experience what real graduate position work is like.
Company Parties/Events
I received and accepted the job offer
The Culture
Yes, we would meet up most weekends and people were always up for doing things!
For me it wasn't too bad as I have university accommodation nearby the office.
Bristol nightlife is amazing!
I took part in the football team for a few weeks which was great considering i was only in the office for three-four weeks!
