The Role
I very much enjoyed my placement year, the staff were friendly and helpful at all times and I am looking forward to returning as a graduate.
I felt very valued, they always let me get involved with additional tasks and I held a high level of responsibility.
My managers were very supportive and helped me along every step of the way throughout the year.
I was very busy. I much prefer this to being quiet and I think it helped keep my motivation levels high.
I was given lots of responsbility. My second role was working for the National operations team so I made decisions that would influence the national Wealth Advisory practice.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was very good. Always very vibrant and cheerful. People were always there to talk to or help with any problems.

As I have come back in a graduate position, I would say the employment prospects are very high. I see lots of different career paths for me to take and I see Grant Thornton at the right place to be with an amazing, inspiring culture.
The Culture
It was very good. The Sheffield office in general has quite a young demographic and they are very good at attending nights out or going for drinks after work.
As with most major northern cities, the cost of living is very reasonable.
Sheffield in general has a very good and vibrant nightlife.
