The Role
A very enjoyable placement where I was able to integrate closely with the team and gain a lot of relevant experience. Deloitte also organised a number of socials with other interns so I was able to get to know them outside of a work environment.
Felt like a valuable member of the team, the work I got given was mostly graduate level responsibility.
Very good support given by all managers and supervisor. There were many occasions where I did not understand fully the project given but the team was always prepared to help with any quires I had.
Was involved with a number of projects with the Development Team but also a presentation from the HR staff so I was always kept busy.
Given graduate level responsibility on most occasions. It was clear the more I got involved with the projects - the more responsibility I was given.
This was my first experience of Real Estate and a lot of projects I was involved with are now very relevant to the MSc Real Estate I am now undertaking. Also developed my skills such as communication and project management which are very relevant in the world of work and in my degree.
The Company
Very friendly atmosphere but also very work focused when needed.
Well organised, a good introduction about both Deloitte and the Development Team I was working in. A good period of work in between before concluding the placement and reflecting on what was learnt.
Training and development was very much on the job but I always could ask if I needed extra support.

If you prove yourself worthy of employment, you are very likely to receive a job. This is rare in the Real Estate Industry.
The Culture
Lots of organised events with other interns from Deloitte as a whole and also within Real Estate. These including meals and drinks out as well as unique activities such as 'HintHunt'
London prices although the food and drink in the immediate area was sometimes subsidised by Deloitte
Farringdon is a very lively place to go after work with plenty of bars and restaurants in close vicinity.
A number of sporting events were available as well as opportunities to arrange your own events with graduates etc.
