The Role
Fun, laid back placement. The work wasn't great but the people were lovely.
Didn't often feel that the work I was going was of any use.
Always someone to ask if you had a problem.
I always had things to do but also plenty of time to do them...
A vac scheme so not much they can give you but a lot of the work was set work they use again and again so not much responsibility there.
Gave a me good feeling for law and different types of work.
The Company
Not much of a buzz in the offices but pleasant, and friendly.
A couple of issues around admin but mostly it was a well organised placement.
Only a vac scheme so there's a limit to how much they can do. There wasn't any formal training but my supervisors and buddies would always take the time to explain things to me if I was stuck.
A lovely firm, very friendly with some interesting work but not the right specialisms for me.
The Culture
We all got on really well and had lunch together most days.
London, so pretty pricey but at least in westminster you've got more options than being in the city.
Didn't really sample the nightlife of the area much but London has everything you need.
They organised a couple of social events which were good fun but other than that there wasn't much else to get involved with but it was only two weeks.
