The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed it, as the people were very enthusiastic and lovely; including the interns. The programme itself was filled with many opportunities to learn more about my division and the bank itself.
I felt very valued as everyone made an effort to be friendly and help me feel settled in; it was an amazing atmosphere that I am grateful for.
I was given plenty of support as they explained tasks thoroughly and always checked to make sure I understood what I was doing, with a good balance of allowing me to work independently. Also, when I had other extra commitments such as charity runs and interbank rubgy competitions, they were very understanding and allowed me leave early.
Some days were slower than others, and some more tasking that others, but overall I often had something to work on.
Could have done with a little more, but it was satisfactory.
Not necessarily in my degree, but beyond, as the skills I developed in excel and powerpoint are sure to help me in the future, and also the softer skills I learned in business etiquete, networking and so on.
The Company
Atmosphere was friendly and lively... I never once dreaded going to work in the morning and often looked forward to it.
Very well organized, with the various, lunch and learn sessions and after work talks, however some form of rotation schedule or time would have been appreciated, across teams and possibly even across divisions.
Significant
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing
The Culture
Adequate
Many pubs, only went out to one of the clubs which wasn't bad
Too many to be true.
