The Role
I really enjoyed it! Though, during the second half of my placement I felt there wasn't really anything I could take on extra because my team felt they didn't have anything to give me.
I did feel valued. I really helped out my team during month end especially.
I was given lots of support whenever I needed it.
I was really busy during the first half of the year when I was still getting used to my role. But during the second half when I was more used to my role I was much freer.
I was given a lot of responsibility, I was given key tasks.
I was much more organised returning to my studies and I definitely could see how the theory related to the real world.
The Company
Really comfortable and friendly!
It was very well organised. During my first week there I had a handover period from the last intern so he could give me a step by step guide on how to do my tasks.
At first they did. But when I got used to my role and I was more free to take on more tasks, they felt they had nothing more they could give me.
Company Parties/Events
I'm not entirely interested in working in GE anymore because I am interested more in finance than accounting.
The Culture
Yes we would go out for a meal together or to the movies every week.
On average 400 pounds a month for rent.
Dead.
The area didn't have much, so not really.
