The Role
Very enjoyable. A great team atmosphere in the office and varied work.
There was a nice level of socialising and we often went for invesment team meals at lunch, and we went to a number of out-of-office events together.
Everyone was very supportive and willing to help.
Just about right. Only a few days when I had to stay in the office late and likewise not many days when I had too little work.
I was completing major reports that ultimately went to the consultant and off to clients after checking.
I'm not sure that the job will help my degree, it's much more likely that my degree helped the job. However, I have become much more confident at calling people, for example, and I am optimistic about the opportunities that experience in an investment consultancy may open to me in the future.
The Company
Everyone was interested and willing to chat as long as people were also working hard.
Everything ran smoothly.
There was introductory training and training throughout, and a consultant development day
Great firm to work for. Good work-life balance in investment consultancy. And a good pay-life balance too.
The Culture
No clubbing this year, but plenty of opportunities to go to the pub.
I lived at home. Not too expensive though on food etc.
Some great clubs, good bar scene.
Many. There were lots of team socials, a squash league and people met up after work for drinks.
