The Role
The vacation scheme was amazing, but if you actually make it as a trainee the hours are always goign to stop it being the best job ever
Everyone included me as if I was already part of the team
One of my supervisors was exceptionally inclusive and openly valued my presence, the other supervisor was still really interested in what I could get involved with but less so
Always had something to do but was never too rushed for a long lunch/ gym/ manicure/ coffee break
I got a surprising level of responsability working on a closing a deal with only one other trainee and one partner
I was surprised at how much the practical focus I have learned helped me in how I am going to approach my revision next year
The Company
Its an office, but there was a bit of banter
They looked after us and organised the training sessions and socials seamlessly
We got presentations on nearly all of the departments, detailed and personal appraisals and loads of advice for interviews
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I want the job with them
The Culture
The majority of socials were definitely not being babysat by hr
Its central london...pretty expensive
Its central london...pretty lively
The sports clubs are really active and I played quite a few matches during my itnernship for the firm
