The Role
Overall I enjoyed my work placement.
All the colleagues respect and help each other out.
Throughout my placement, there was an extensive amount of support and guidance which helps when you move forward.
Throughout my placement there was a perfect balance of lab work and office work, which kept me very busy on a daily basis. But at the time same time the work was so engaging that you won't feel the pressure of being busy.
Initially you are slowly feed in to the projects but with the time as you get familiar with projects responsibilities tend to increase.
Placement have improved my basic skills on communication, personal development and IT skills especially MS Excel. But studying Electronics and Electrical Engineering, this placement have truly enhanced my skills in electrical aspect especially when it comes to testing which improved my practical experience, and also analysing data from external tests, has improved analytical and problem solving skills. Overall developing an insight of big business work and how manufacturing is done on grand scale.
The Company
Generally the atmosphere in the office and lab is very relaxed and calm.
Overall my work placement was fairly organised, and when it comes to training interns, over the year interns were given training in a lot of key aspects which helped them through their placement. There were also extra training from the office where you are based at.
The company does invest a lot in you, as the company provides training for IT Skill i.e. MS Excel, Communication training, Project management training, Finance training, Presentation training and Personal development training
