    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Loved it, great company to work for, given a lot of responsibility from the beginning, and given roles more advanced than I would have expected on a placement.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Really valued, generally not viewed upon as a placement student but as a valued member of the company. At times I completely forgot I was a on a placement!

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • A lot of support from my line manager, she was really enthusiastic about my development and really keen to help with my progression post the placement.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very! Always had something to do from day 1, I was never bored and the days and weeks flew by!

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Lots of responsibility, more than I would have ever though for a placement. Led my own projects completely with lots of visibility to senior members of staff.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have finished my degree, but the skills I have developed here will certainly help me in my future career. I have progressed so much and in ways I didn't even know beforehand that I could! Part of that is down to me pushing for opportunities and responsibility where possible, but part of it is definitely down to learning from my colleagues and the support they have given me throughout. Also, you are encouraged to attend conferences and workshops that you feel would be of use.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • People work very hard but also have a lot of fun, the atmosphere is laid back, appropriately informal, and really open. I never felt that I couldn't go up and speak to someone, no matter what their position in the company.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very, no compaints.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They gave me my freedom to attend conferences, webinars, workshops etc that I felt would be of use to me. It is also encouraged that you attend internal meetings that you feel are of interest, even if you aren't directly involved.

    4/5

  • Flexi Time

    Sports and Social Club
