    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really love working this half year for Vodafone Group in London in the middle of beautiful Paddington. I am doing my Internship in the Learning & Development department and I love to get involved in different tasks I can own myself after some time and get own projects, where I am able to apply my studies and be creative about the topics I am handling. The international atmosphere is awesome and an amazing experience and school for every student.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues really appreciate every help they get from my side and also ask for input themselves. I felt welcome in the team from the first contact and would be ready to support them anytime,

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My line manager provides me an excellent support. Starting from setting objectives for the internship to daily support with any task and regular feedback, he provides me a huge range of help and coaching.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Being busy can vary from day to day, but in a sum I can say, that I didn't have ne boring day until now, as I am always getting new tasks and I am involved in many processes which provide daily work! Vodafone is really about a good work/life balance and it depends on everybody himself what he is doing out of it!

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I am involved in several processes which I own now and I am owning my own short- and long-term projects, so in terms of responsibility I would rate it high, as the outcome of the processes is highly important for the outcome,

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I will do my Majors in HR, therefore I am feeling really good prepared for the practical part of my studies, especially in Learning & Development. Vodafone has a broad range of educating possibilities in all media types, which opens the door to any topic you would love to get insights.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The floors are open and there are no small rooms fro every team. Therefore the atmosphere is quiet busy and transparent, but it is awesome to experience this high degree of internationality! Further we have nice features and meeting boxesin the offices, as well as a Costa CafĂ©, which offer a great opportunity to have lunch in and have tea break.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The joining process was a bit slow, as I had to wait for my entrance pass and further things until I could work properly, but these problems won't exist anymore in the future as the responsible people are working in this, the start will be much more smooth for the furture interns, thumbs up for Vodafone!

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I had all sorts of possibilities to educate myself in any topic I am interested in as Vodafone has a huge range of resources and is able to give great insights!

  • London is expensive!
