    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I genuinely thoroughly enjoyed the insight into the firm. The culture and atmosphere were so welcoming and friendly that it seems to be a great place to work. Everybody was so helpful and encouraging. To have a go at the business game was also excellent as it made the day more interactive, and the presentations from some of the partners in the first half of the day were very insightful.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt really valued whilst at the firm, we were made to feel important and included, as though our opinions and questions were really valued throughout the day. There was no air of arrogance as there often can be at law firm open days, and we were all warmly welcomed.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Lots of support throughout the day - there were plenty of people from the firm around to speak to and all were approachable and welcoming. We had lunch with the trainees which was great as we could chat to them about their experience at the firm.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I am a postgraduate but the skills that we developed such as presenting and working within a team were excellent and will be used in the future.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Really well structured; there was a clear form to the day and the timing all ran smoothly. There was lots to do and keep busy, and all the content was interesting and insightful.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • It was fantastic - the people we met could not have been friendlier or nicer and more welcoming to us, and the other students on the insight day were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic too. I feel that I made friends on the open day, as well as gaining insight into the firm.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The interactive game that we played in the afternoon was interesting and the partners took time out of their busy day to speak to us and listen to our presentations so that was well received. The talks in the morning were well put together and a lot of time had been spent to ensure the day ran smoothly.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Meeting with the trainees as well as the partners was great because they are more similar to us in terms of experience and training. They all seemed genuine when describing how much they enjoy working at the firm. I felt that this was one of the best insights into the firm.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • 5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I already have completed my LPC so have confirmed my career path choice a while ago, but this certainly confirmed that I wish to pursue this career, particularly at a firm such as Taylor Wessing.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • We had the option to be reimbursed for travel expenses but I already live in London so this did not apply to me.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • We had lunch with the current trainees and a drinks reception after we completed our presentations in the afternoon. To meet other applicants was also a great experience as we can all chat and share our experiences and knowledge and tips.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Everyone was very friendly and the lunch that we had with the trainees was well prepared and generous. The drinks in the afternoon were great and there was plenty of room to mingle and chat with the other people at the event.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • The head of graduate recruitment explained that there are many activities one can do outside of work, such as many sporting opportunities and trips abroad, as well as charity events, office parties and bake sales.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would thoroughly recommend this insight to a friend - it is the best open day I have been to and was a great reflection on the firm. It was interesting and interactive and I am so glad that I went. Everyone was so friendly.
