  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I enjoyed it very much, there was a fun icebreaker at the start, and the emplyeees I met were very nice and helpful.

    • I felt very valued, we were divided up into small groups and had the chance to talk with emplyeees

    • A lot. We were given many presentations throughout the day about different areas of the company

    • I developed my knowledge about what an actuary does within hymans Robertson and received a lot of information about the application process and tips on how to be a successful candidate

    • We had small sessions throughout the morning and was structured very well

    • Everyone was kind and eager to learn about what hymans Robertson had to offer.

    • They told us the key skills needed to join their firm and how to show these skills during their application process

    • We learnt about each of the sectors within hymans Robertson, and talked to employees to learn what they did on a day to day basis

    • I was able to understand the the key values of the company

    • The insight day affirmed my career choice in becoming and actuary as I learnt what an actuary does on a day to day basis

    • I had to pay for my travel expenses to get to the insight day

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes we had the chance to talk to employees throughout the morning and had plenty of opportunities to ask them any questions

    • We were able to network with employees at the end of the morning

    • No. The day was mainly focused on the company and what it had to offer
