The Role
Not at all what I expected and a job role far more suited to someone with a technical background. Having said that, I have learnt a lot
Part of the team from day one and not only doing the stuff other people don't want to do!
Although they're very busy, if I ever had a question I could email or arrange a meeting very easily
A lot of system outtages means work couldn't be done which had to be made up for to meet target by doing extremely long hours
Given that I was an intern, I felt I was given responsibilty and was never felt to be 'lower' than anyone else
Irreleavant to my degree, but learnt transferable skills which can be taken to other jobs, especially the need to pick things up very quickly.
The Company
It has its highs and lows, but the lows can be very low especially when the work is halted
Very well organised - very clear they have done this before and are ready for interns. I never had to chase my manager up with intern-related things (They were always already aware)
We had excel training and other general training, but the real training and development will come once you get a full time grad job.
National Travel
Working from home
Very good place to work with a great atmosphere and great people. Only downside is, you can be alligned to something you don't want to do
The Culture
When we went out it was very good, but because of the long hours, this isn't always possible
Pretty much everything was reimbursed!
Because I was based in Horsham at RSA's office, I was in Horsham from Mon-Fri and Horsham has no nightlife!
Weekly sports events and various dinners and pub trips
