  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Very much so! The Open Day was full of talks and activities which provided invaluable insight into the firm's culture. There was also ample opportunity to discuss what typical day to day life was like at the firm with trainees and the graduate recruitment team.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Sarah did an amazing job organising the event, reflecting that the firm really valued our time there. The graduate recruitment team and trainees took the time to ask about my interests and what the firm could offer in terms of career development. In particular I enjoyed the talk given by one of the partners, it showed that the firm really took an interest in potential future employees.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • There was a trainee assigned to us during the business game to offer support. She was very helpful and provided additional insight to the firm's approach to its work and its clients. A lot of guidance was provided in the talks where we were given additional information on how to tailor the application to really show our compatibility with Taylor Wessing.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The Open Day was invaluable in terms of skills development. The business game really tested my commercial acumen and interacting with fellow students provided helpful insight into the ways I could strengthen this area. At the end of the game we had to give a presentation which furthered my communication skills and ability to work in a team.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The overall take home advice was to not decide on my future career path so early on, as it would only hinder me from experiencing other sectors. The day was more tailored to the vacation scheme application process, as this is the real opportunity to decide upon which career path is most suitable.
