Insight Day Review

I really enjoyed my time with Taylor Wessing. I found it a really interest day which gave a great insight to the firm and their values. All of the members of staff were very friendly and welcoming which was really nice. I thought that the structure of the day was very well planned and it was enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the commercial awareness exercise as it was my first time at doing anything like that and was great practice for a real assessment day.

During my time at Taylor Wessing, i felt very valued for my time. This is because throughout the day all the member of staff made sure that everybody was okay and doing fine. Also they made it very clear, even the partners, that they are pleased to have our time because potentially we are the next partners in the very future. Therefore because of this, it made us feel very welcome.

I think that the guidance given was pretty good. The HR team gave us pointers about how to apply to the firm and top tips which were helpful. However, i think maybe this could have been expanded on a little more. Nevertheless, i believe that it was still a very good explanation of the process and a good guidance to receive whilst spending the day with Taylor Wessing.

I think that the group exercise was very helpful in developing my skills. This is due to the fact that i had never completed one of these group exercises before and i found it very beneficial. Also because we received feedback on what went well and top tips for next time i believe this was very good as when it comes to do the real thing i have some guidance.

I think the structure was very well planned for the insight day. This is due to the variety of presentations we had, followed by a group exercise and then networking. Due to these plans i believe that it give us a good insight to the firm without just sitting through presentations all day. The only thing i think could of made it better is if we had a tour of the offices.

The general atmosphere of the firm was portrayed very well during the insight day. This is due to the fact that everybody was extremely welcoming and helpful through out the whole day. From the moment i arrived every one who i came across was happy to help and seemed genuinely happy to help with anything to make sure that we were all okay.

I think that this most relates to the group exercise that we did. The firm did very much invest in us because they took the time to listen to all of our presentations and then mark them accordingly. I think this shows that they are invested in our personal development because then they did general feedback on how well we did and top tips for when we have a real assessment day.

I think that everybody i spoke to at Taylor Wessing portrayed the company's culture extremely well. This is important because it shows that the values which we are told are important, actually are important to every body at Taylor Wessing and it isn't just a cover up. I think that the culture at the firm seems great and it is amazing that everybody folks by them.

I think that the content of the day was very valuable in deciding my future. This is because the firm did a great job in portraying the sort of firm that they are and aim to be. Furthermore from speaking to individuals who are currently training with the firm it furthermore confirmed that this firm is where i would like to have a career.

I am waiting to be reimbursed currently. However i think this is really great because it means even those people who live far away can still come along and not have a financial barrier.

Yes an hour at the end of the day.

I think that the networking opportunity at the end was very beneficial. This is because i was able to speak to new people which i hadn't done throughout the day. Therefore i was able to get a broader insight from other people. The only thing that i think could have made it better is if it wasn't so crampt in the area that we were in. However, the networking itself was brilliant.

Yes, i found out about some activities that employees can get involved with by a few of the trainees. I was told about the sports clubs which are running with the firm. Also i was told about how the individual departments run different socials now and again. However, i am unsure as if there is any more which goes on.

Yes i would defiantly recommend this insight day with Taylor Wessing to a friend. This is because it was by far the best day i have been to yet. This is because not only did they give a great insight to the firm itself, but they also made me feel very welcome. Also the group exercise was a great experience which i have never done before.
