The Role
It was exactly the right job for me, given lots of responsiblity in an area i enjoy.
Without my input, the team would struggle. It was made clear from the start that i was on the same level as any other employee.
I had a good manager who acted as a mentor throughout my placement.
Extremely busy around the month end period but quieter during the middle of a month.
Trusted with high amounts of Responsibility.
Hugely, i have learn't the general do's and don's of the workplace whilst gaining real valuable finance knowledge.
The Company
I work in a young exiting team and socialise with them both inside and outside the office.
I had no problems myself but the hiring of my replacement was a little rushed.
Courses can be taken in almost anything through the 'learning@Xerox' website. Also all employees must complete a lean 6sigma course.
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Very appealing, and there is a real chance of returning. There is a sponsorship scheme set up to retain the best students.
The Culture
With around 60 students at Xerox in Uxbridge there is a fantastic social scheme. Everyone moves nto university halls for the first 2 months.
Cheap considering how close to London it is, but not compared to what i am used to in Birmingham.
Uxbridge itself is ok with a few decent pubs and one club (Liquid), However it is very easy to get to surrounding areas such as Cetral london, Kingston etc...
Yes, With so many other students and a young team, there were always things to do.
