The Role
Enjoyed the actual work, but there was never enough to fill my time. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]
I was giving any low pevel qirk my manager didn't want to do. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]
The work I was given was so non-challenging support was almost unnecessary and I felt minimal personal support was given.

Rarely would I be given something to do that had significant impact on our department.

There was just not enough work for me to do, my manager clearly had no training in how to handle an intern, and seeking support on a personal level was in vain. The attitude tended to be "this is just how it is" rather than "how can we tailor this to make it work better?"
We had 4 dedicated intern days over the year which were interesting and developmental. I also completed the strength finder psychometric testing... Though nothing more was done after receiving my results. The attitude was "you are developing just by being here"

Hard to say as I personally don't wish to go back, though it seems the graduate scheme does attract people. Whether or not they have completed a placement at Sony previously is uncertain
The Culture
It depended on which office you were based in
South if England is typically very expensive. The local pub in Weybridge's cheapest glass of wine was £6, and most interns needed parental assistance with rent or lived at home
There was one pub. It was £6 for a glass of wine. Not. A. Chance.
