The Role
It was an absolutely amazing year full of challenges, opportunities and rewards.
Everyone no matter what role they are in were willing to support and help, which really helped me feel like part of the team and their success.
I worked closely with the whole team within my function and received instant feedback on a lot of my work alongside general meetings to evaluate my progress.
It was extremely intense at first as I got to grips with the role, however as I became used to it I was able to put myself forward and get involved with much more, in what is an extremely fast paced environment.
There are core tasks that are central to the role such as tracking sales figures and analysing the market using the data that is provided. The more I put myself forward for the more I was trusted to carry out tasks such as presenting to customers at range reviews or journalists at press shows.
One thing I’ve become sure of is that I see a future career in the SDA industry for myself and this is down to the great experiences that I’ve had over the past year. The exposure that I’ve had whether that be presenting in front of major retailers or attending various events has given me the confidence and the determination to succeed.
The Company
Everyone was extremely friendly in the office, there was plenty of laughter each day to go along with hard work that we all put in.
There was a thorough induction process with my predeccessor along with guides that I could use as support on a daily basis.
There was training to make sure I understood the category and also the job role, again if there were certain things that I wanted to develop I only had to ask.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
There are plenty of examples of past students going onto secure permanent positions and and progressing their way through the company.
The Culture
We all got along so well despite being from different universities and parts of the country, I'm still in touch with them all.
Windsor attracts many tourists and so can be quite expensive, there are however plenty of different places to visit.
Some really nice pubs, bars and clubs in Windsor.
There were many informal works drinks and also work events and parties which are great fun!
